Ingredients
- Apple, one medium sized
- Gouda, 16 small (~1″x1″) slices
- Pigs, 16 lil’ smokies sausages
- Blanket, can of crescent rolls (NOT CLOTH BLANKET)
Gear
- Parchment paper
- Oven
- Knife
- Apple corer (optional)
- Baking Sheet (NOT CLOTH SHEET)
Making It
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 375. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. You got this, I believe in you.
Step 2:
Unroll the crescent rolls, cut the 8 triangles on the sheet of dough into 16 smaller triangles. They won’t be the same size as each other. If this irritates you, go buy another can of crescent rolls and just use 16 bigger rolls.
Step 3:
Put the triangles on the parchment paper’d baking sheet. Put a square of gouda on each triangle of dough.
Step 4:
Rinse the apple, peel off the sticker, and cut into 16 slices. Cut out any core bits or use an apple corer if you’re fancy.
Step 5:
Add a slice of apple and a sausage on top of each gouda square. Wrap the dough as best you can around them. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just enough to hold together.
Step 6:
Put the baking sheet in the oven. Don’t burn yourself. Let bake for 11 minutes or so then take it out. Don’t burn yourself.
Step 7:
Run cold water over your burn.
Step 8:
Serve these delicious treats or gobble them all up yourself, I won’t judge. If they’re held together by cheese instead of by pastry, that’s not a bug it’s a feature.
