Making It
Step 1:
Mix sugar and cocoa in a saucepan, then mix in milk. Gonna be a lot of mixing on this one.
Step 2:
Bring to boil, then boil for a minute. Start the minute when there’s a good boil going at the edges, if you start when the center’s boiling it’ll burn. Burned cookies don’t taste as good [citation needed].
Step 3:
Remove from heat. Add butter, peanut butter, and vanilla. Stir until fully mixed. The butter will take forever to melt, but that’s fine as long as you haven’t been skipping arm day.
Step 4:
Pour over oats in a large bowl and stir until the oats are covered. They’re gonna try to clump up and hide uncovered oats from you, DO NOT LET THEM!
Step 5:
Choose your own cookie-venture!
- If making regular cookies, drop by the teaspoonfull onto wax paper on your baking sheet or plates.
- If making a pie, bake a pie crust then fill it with this.
- If making a cookie cake, pour it into a wax paper-covered cake tin
Make sure to set aside some to make extra-big cookies for chefs and assistants!
Step 6:
Put in the fridge overnight. If you forgot to make these until the day you need them, put them in the freezer as long as you can. Clean the bowl, pan, and spoon by eating anything left.
