Ingredients
• salmon filets (fresh, or frozen that have thawed over night in your refrigerator
• soy sauce
• garlic powder
Gear
• cookie sheet (or broiler pan with rack removed)
• aluminum foil
• spatula
• oven
• oven mits
Making It
Step 1:
If you need to, move racks in the oven so you can bake the salmon on a rack in the middle. Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees F
Step 2:
Cover cookie sheet top with a sheet of aluminum foil (makes clean-up much easier)
Step 3:
Rinse salmon quickly in running water and dry with paper towels
Step 4:
Put salmon on the aluminum foil (which is on the cookie sheet). If it has skin, put it skin side down.
Step 5:
Wash your hands
Step 6:
Shake some soy sauce over the salmon and use your free hand to rub it all over the fish
Step 7:
Wash your hands
Step 8:
Shake some garlic powder over the salmon, just like you were salting it
Step 9:
Put the cookie sheet with the salmon on it in the oven and bake for 20 minutes
Step 10:
Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and transfer the fish from the cookie sheet to a plate using a spatula
Step 11:
Eat your salmon
